Summarize the nature and level of work performed:

 

The Nurse Manager is responsible to oversee all aspects of service including supervising nursing staff and monitor of patient care within the department of Ambulatory clinics. The manager is to adhere to intuition’s mission, vision, policy and procedures, as well as to practice within the scope of the services set forth by the department.

 

 

Patient Care and Management: Interpersonal engagement and management of the patient and/or family.

 

n Collaborate with administrative, physician leaders, advisors to plan and commission a patient-centric, and cost effective Ambulatory clinics. Ensure that commissioning collaboration is effective and meets Jiahui’s needs and timeline.

n Support and communicate the Nursing Services’ infrastructure, mission, vision and value, policies and procedures to employees.

n Design and implement processes that delivery quality services including patient experience, workflow, and staffing model.

n Supervise all nurses to ensure that staff conduct and services rendered are safe, competent, and professional.

n Coordinate and supervise the efficient turnover of the daily bed census.

n Plan and prepare staff schedule and assignments.

n Plan and monitor staff training and development in accordance to learning and organizational needs.

n Communicate information with staffs timely and effectively.

n Respond promptly to patient feedback, investigate and reply expeditiously.

n Attend promptly to the incidents such as hazards etc.; perform investigation and submit necessary reports for clinical review and continuous improvement.

n Conduct performance appraisal and counsel nursing staff in a manner that correct problems and promote professional growth.

n To maximize resources utilization and efficiency to ensure adequacy of resources to meet patient care requirement.

 

 

Managerial Knowledge and Skills: Skill attained through formal and experiential knowledge.

 

n Monitor departmental key performance indicators for service quality and efficiency.

n Communicate with respective committees with development of improvement plans.

n Ensure that administrative procedures are adhered according to hospital and regulatory policies.

n Adhere to Jiahui’s HR policy and procedures when conducting interview, hiring, and discipline of nursing staff. 

n Knowledgeable about technology that supports the deliver and monitoring of safe and quality care.

n Initiate and implement changes to improve the quality of care and work processes in the assigned area.

n Develop department work plans based on organizational planned strategies to fulfill organizational goals.

n Create and maintain a healthy work environment so that all members of the team can practice at their highest level.

n Assist Department Director with the operating and capital equipment budget process and assure cost effective use of resources.

n Be accessible and approachable to staff and patients at all time during working hours.

n Be proactively sharing information and coordinating within and outside of the organization

n Understand and articulate the code of Nursing and Ethics and regulatory requirements

n Provide leadership and direction to lead, manage and respond to both planned and unplanned events.

n Demonstrate integrity and ethics with personal conduct.

n Be open-minded and non-judgmental when dealing with conflicts.

n Set future goals and objectives based on understanding of market, patient needs, and professional trends; accurately scope out impact of future strategies; and clearly articulate strategic intent to gain support among management and employees.

Qualifications:

n Hold current PRC nursing license.

n Bachelor degree in nursing or above.

n Minimum 8-10 years of clinical experience in ambulatory nursing services with at least 5 years of supervisory/management experience.

n Overseas experience preferred.

n Valid certifications (BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, etc.) per hospital policy.

n Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, HIS.

n Able to communicate in English.
