Responsibilities:

1. Lead color measurement portfolio development to guide pigment dispersion quality monitoring with the collaborations of formulating chemist and process engineer.

2. Implement color measurement protocols in production to ensure batch quality consistency of pigment dispersions efficiently.

3. Lead wet color measurement research and protocol development for each business segments as Auto, Industrial coatings to drive fast online control.

4. Collaborate with key suppliers to utilize state-of-art spectrophotometers, color software and systems.

5. Work closely with global technical and operation team for the consolidation and upgrade of hardware and software.

6. Develop color vector by virtue of existing tint system and experimental design tools and drive the application for color consistency of tint products.

7. Contribute to color digitalization through the database establishment, analysis and application.

8. Provide color measurement technology in support of coating technical problem solving.

9. Actively get involved in color styling and color design from the perspective of scientific color measurement.

10. Execute industrial analysis and competitors' analysis, and stay updated with technology development on color measurement tools and methods.

Requirements:

1. Ph. D degree of Science or Technology or Engineering in Chemicals/ Polymer Chemistry/ Polymer Physics.

2. Research experience in theoretical research or computer simulation is a must. The candidate must have solid knowledge in understanding physics and mathematics, be familiar with calculation and modelling software. Know-how in machine learning algorithm or artificial intelligence is a plus.

3. Effective analytical abilities and technical skills to isolate problems, fix immediate needs and offer long term solutions based on root cause analysis

4. Demonstrated ability as a team player and fast paced environment

5. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

6. Effective written and oral communication skills

7. Good command of written and verbal English
