Automation Test Engineer

Overview:

The successful candidate will help define, design, and implement the next generation test automation framework to enable all engineers to automate tests for all Our client’s products and platforms.  The framework shall be based on python and be managed like an open source project.   This is a very strategic role where the speed of development and execution are paramount.  

Responsibilities:

• Design and Develop code in python for new test automation framework
• Work in dynamic team like an open source project
• Implement Unit Tests and Continuous Integration of the framework
• Participate in peer reviews for design and code implementation
• Test the framework by implementing automated tests
• Incorporate feedback from the internal customer community
• Help Integrate the framework with other tools like bamboo for CI.
• Help Integrate the framework with code coverage analysis tools.
• Help Integrate results with report generation tools
• Help Integrate failures with bug reporting  tools
• Investigate and evaluate issues found during testing
• Continuous effort on reviewing and improving performance test process and efficiency
• Communicating status to management

Qualifications:

• BSCS, BSSE, BSEE or equivalent.
• MS Preferred
• 2+ years of experience developing in python (more than scripting)
• Experience with Linux
• Experience with shell script writing
• prefer experience working with open source software
• prefer experience with cloud technologies
• prefer experience with VM
• Prefer experience with Java script development
