JOB TITLE: IT Manager, Business Relationship Management and Project Management
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This position is accountable for the successful Business Partnering and IS Service Delivery to the Ingersoll Rand AP Business. The purpose of this position is to work with key business stakeholders to gather, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes and the implementation of new business processes, practices and information systems at all levels of complexity. This role also ensures their Business Partners are taking full advantage of all systems and supporting the strategy realization and the company transformation.
Main Roles and Responsibilities
Business Partnering:
Build strong, influential relationships and decision-making processes with key business stakeholders, shaping demand into a compelling IT Program for that optimizing the sequence of implementation of capabilities constructed by global & regional Teams. Provide education to business stakeholders to increase knowledge of Business practices/processes and to increase knowledge and utilization of IT applications.
Project Delivery:
Initiate, plan, control/monitor, execute and close projects. Take full accountability for the accomplishment of the stated project objectives. Manage the triple constraint for projects, which is cost, time, and quality.
Ensure that future Benefit established by the initiation of the project will be realized, inside and outside the direct scope of the project. Ensure that the appropriate process re-engineering, optimization and improvement are done during or after execution of the project. Ensure work packages are managed which will require an understanding and adherence to IT implementation methodologies and practices (Project Management Methodology, Systems Development Methodology, Project Management Office)
Service & Value Management:
Drive transformative and continuous improvement initiatives across Sales and Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Manufacturing, and Distribution and Logistics for APAC business. Understand market challenges, including customer priorities, business processes and competitive issues. Influence industry technology and business standards and build solutions to better connect the company to its channel partners. Partner with business stakeholders and shared IT function teams to develop project business cases and value realization processes, ensure the efficient delivery of IS services to the businesses served within agreed SLAs and financial targets.
Minimum Requirements:
Education
Bachelor degree in IT; Certificates on PMP, CCIE, ITIL and Cloud are a plus
Experience
10 + years’ experience within IT, minimum 2 years as IT Business Partner, 5 years on IT operation, especially merge & acquisition, CRM implementation, cloud computing, digital manufacturing and IoT based business models and technologies
Demonstrated experience working on major system projects. Proven expertise in knowledge exchange and liaison between IT and business stakeholders/users, as well as mentoring staff.
Proven inter-personal skills in dealing with resources at all levels of the organization.
Significant IT related change and project leadership experience
Knowledge & Skills:
Relevant experience in industry will be a plus.
Strong business partnering: ability to engage, interact, influence, and be a trusted and credible internal adviser.
Change leadership – agile, manages stakeholders expectations, brings together people, process and technology change in a dynamic operating environment.
Excellent facilitator, well organized with highly effective written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated learning agility.
Ability to translate a business need into well-articulated requirements.
Ability to analyze a critical path - drive progress against tight milestones and where applicable deep dive into critical areas. Project, planning and estimation management skill set.
Good command of English speaking and writing.
Good problem solving skill and ability to determine the source of a problem, find an effective solution or provide ideas / alternatives.
Active Listening - understanding needs of business users/customers and working with functional groups.
Negotiation Skills - requires strong decision making and negotiation skills to influence and persuade in their working relationships.
Formal Presentations - required to present information to IT staff at all levels and business users/customers.
Tact and diplomacy - ensure professionalism when dealing with internal customers and outside vendors.
