Job Description
We are looking for scientists for the development of application research on new or existing enzymes. The task and responsibilities will include:
1.Will have a strong background in analytical chemistry, protein biochemistry, and a working knowledge of enzymology
2.Development and test of liquid errorformulations for new enzyme products with focus on protein stability;
3.Require hands-on experiences on protein purification, enzyme characterization, and protein analysis and structure characterization;
4.Work will rely on using analytical tools, which may include chemical analyses, GC, HPLC, calorimetry and spectroscopy preferably using high throughput methods;
5.Work with external suppliers and analytical groups and coordinate that work with the internal teams.
6.Optimization of current products and trouble shooting for existing products in collaboration with other departments;
7.Development of new errorformulation and stabilization technologies.
8.Accountable for experimental design, assay development and data analysis.
9.Work with marketing and sales dept to develop the market of new products.
10.Provide supervisory and training to associate and assistant scientists.
Qualifications
You will be based in errorformulation Development China, a newly established department with state of the art laboratories.
1.You have a PhD in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Chemistry or an allied discipline with a sound understanding of enzymology, analytical biochemistry and protein chemistry;
2.2-5 years experience in enzyme characterization and/or assay development;
3.Industry experience on grain processing products;
4.Experience with protein characterization using SDS-PAGE, HPLC, mass spectrometry, and UV/Vis/ fluorescence spectroscopy is highly desirable;
5.Experience in multinational companies will be a plus.
6.Knowledge about proteins, protein errorformulation and stability or experience from other relevant technologies from earlier jobs in the biochemical, pharmaceutical, chemical or detergent industry will be an advantage.
7.You are result oriented, work independently, show initiative and have personal drive.
8.The successful candidate must be motivated, creative, have strong problem solving and critical thinking skills, and be capable of working independently or in a collaborative setting;
9.Strong analytical and organizational skills are highly desirable;
10.Ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English.
