1. Media relations and communication in Central China (Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi)
2. Strong local media experiences and relations, including traditional print media, local TV, news portals and local social media accounts in the provinces of Hubei, Hunan and Jiangxi.
3. Capable of maintaining and developing relations with mainstream provincial media in each province (Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi), including top 4-5 in capital city; top 2-3 in 1st tier city in province and top 2-3 in the 2nd tie city in province.

5. Issue and crisis management
6. Handling regional issue and crisis communication (in cooperation with other departments), by assessment, development, implementation, and maintenance of emergency issue management and crisis plans to ensure the company’s ability to recover from crisis or prevent crisis from occuring
7. Closely cooperating with other departments in resolutions of customer complaints, legality, and other issues provided they may create a media issue and/or crisis
8. Monitoring, analyzing, escalating, and reporting on all sensitive or potentially sensitive media issues of the company in the region and provide prompt update of the issues to CIM team.
9. Reply and give the comments on the customer compliant case email within 2 hours, effectively communicating and coordinating with related departments to dig the results and root-cause of the case. On serious cases, it is required to timely report and discuss with line-manager and CIM team and provide effective counseling.
10. Have the capability to coordinate all relevant departments to investigate into the case and make preventive measures in the case of no media report. In case of media reports, the relevant alert email should be sent within 2 hours, and solutions for the relevant media relations approaching should be found through multiple channels on the same the day.
11. If the case is likely to generate sensitive media report, the incumbent needs to try his/her best to avoid the media follow-up report through proper media communication.

2. Capability to identity and develop regional positive news which match the key messages of corporate strategic communication
3. Effectively support corporate communication, and localize relevant regional news based on corporate news release.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree or above (preferably in Journalism, Economics, Media Management, Communications)
2. Minimum five years of experience at the same/similar position in China (Working in a local mainstream media outlet, the experience from a foreign company or PR agency is an advantage)
3. Proven track record in dealing with both traditional and social media, understanding of media management.
4. Proven skills in issue and crisis management.
5. Ability to think independently and out of the box, excellent abilities in interpersonal communications.
6. Strong team player and good at cooperating/coordinating across different functional teams.
