ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
?Support all engineering and process development activities impacting the development of new programs and or technology investigations.
?Involvement with advanced process development activities for new technology and the related engineering specification development.
? Responsible for new equipment and process specifications to be used to support the capital equipment quotation and procurement process.
?Responsible for all program management activities with capital equipment suppliers following the sourcing of new or refurbished equipment.
?Participates in capital equipment quotation analysis and review and is involved with technical feedback to purchasing on sourcing decisions.
?Responsible for capital equipment design approvals, monitoring equipment build development both technically and to ensure adherence to program timing.
?Responsible for defining and executing trial builds and qualification events at the supplier location and has final technical approval prior to teardown activities.
?Responsible all planning coordination, transfer and qualification activities associated with delivery of new capital and processes into the IRS production operation.
?Responsible for delivering the final qualification and technical signoff at the IRS location.
?Responsible for demonstrating process capability of the critical characteristics of the module assembly and ensuring all customer requirements for PPAP are achieved.
?Performs PFMEA development activities in coordination with the advanced project team members as the module design moves from prototype to production.
?Responsible for DFM / DFA activities within new project development teams.
?Participates in control plan development activities at the prototype, pre-launch and production phases of the quality systems development.
?Responsible for labor standard development, work instructions and line balancing activities within all phases of the development activities. Including optimization efforts in conjunction with plant ME and production personnel during the Launch Readiness Review phase.
?Responsible for ergonomic analysis and safety analysis for all new equipment and processes to be delivered to operations.
?Responsible for implementing initial Preventive Maintenance plans with assembly process.
?Support all ISO/TS requirements
?Support manufacturing cost reduction activities, including labor reduction initiatives for new and existing programs.
?Support budgeting activities (both for annual budget planning and for project specific activities).
?Support capital planning / capacity studies and corresponding analysis.
?Support and Implement all activities required of process engineering within the Product Realization Process (PRP).

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree or equivalent; or 5-10 years of automotive experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations in English and Chinese. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
