Scope of Roles:


As local expert to assist co-workers with use of CEMS and other project implementation.

Key Responsibilities/Challenges:

Strategic Planning
1. Service Capacity Optimization
- Facilitate service transaction migration to the best channel mix.
2. Branch Process Efficiency & Effectiveness
- Facilitate branch service to a more streamlined manner

Process and Project Management
1. Draft new procedure of new products/regulations
2. Revise existing procedures according to new regulatory/ group requirements and streamline process if necessary, to improve efficiency
3. Liaise with other departments / units on policy, procedure and launching of new product issues, which is related to branch operations
4. Assist Line Manager on CB branches operations and necessary staff training
5. Provide guidance on branches operations issues / procedures
6. Lead, drive and maintain effectiveness of operations & control in branches
7. Support the implementation and roll-out of global / regional initiatives and migrate best practice to branches
8. Drive and prepare for branch project plan, conduct feasibility study and brainstorm on initiatives
9. Project and resource planning, monitoring and quality control
10. Participate in the projects held by different departments and provide the comments on new product process;
11. Participate in User Acceptance Testing and help to organize pilot test or implementation approach
12. Support the implementation and roll-out of global / regional initiatives and migrate best practice to branches

Quality Management
1. Drive service quality in branches/call centre from a central perspective in close co-ordination with CBO and TJ Hub, objectively analyze good ideas submitted from branches/call centre and recommend improvement options to Senior Managers.
2. Drive to improve branch awareness of the importance of data quality.
3. Works with Organization Learning to identify and implement training for all branch staff

Operational Risk Management
1. Learn and understand all relevant regulations and internal Risk & Compliance policies and procedures.
2. Sustain an optimal level of risk control for branches balancing operations / sales efficiency and risk exposure.
3. To contact with Operational Risk frequently and share with branches if there is any update on DOIs.
4. To comply with respective Money Laundering Prevention Procedures and be alert at all times to unusual or possibly suspicious customer activity, and should report any suspicious activity to the respective Unit Money Laundering Prevention Officer and line manager as well as directly to the Country MLPO in urgent or exceptional circumstances.

Compliance Support
1. Provides the day to day liaison between Country Compliance and branches
a. Seek guidance on interpretation of regulations
b. Provide confirmation as to business controls environment
c. Coordinate the training of the business for Compliance matters
2. Coordinate any inspections by external authorities within the business


Selection Criteria:

- A university graduate with above 5 years of related banking experience
- Solid working experience in the branch operation management in banking industry
- Sound knowledge of bank products and services and banking procedures
- Good understanding of banking regulations and prod
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
- Excellent leadership qualities to motivate the team
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Mandarin.
