SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
? Lead the Warehouse, Customer Services, Logistics and Planning functions of the business, with responsibility for the development of robust strategies and the implementation of sustainable processes to support the business.
? Implementing and maintaining best practice warehousing, MRP and planning techniques whilst influencing positive change management in an expanding team environment.
? This will involve controlling and improving supply chain efficiency and cost performance with specific focus on inventories, production planning, procurement and manufacturing costs.
? Manage relations with Customs, and ensure the following of Customs rules and regulations in order to avoid penalties.
? Manage the warehouse, and ensure a proper accounting of all material.
? Working closely with the Sourcing Team to manage the purchase of parts from Chinese suppliers in such a manner as to ensure timely delivery of parts to production
DESIRED EDUCATION / TRAINING / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
? Fluent English in written and spoken.
? 5 years + Supply Chain Management experience in China
? Have proven good relationships with Chinese Customs authorities and with an in-depth understanding of the Chinese import/export procedures and policies
? Analytical skills, IT savvy (SAP/ JDE/MRP experience will be highly regarded)
? Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or hands-on experience with Supply Chain related discipline
? Strong and confident communicator.
? Have a Customer First mentality.
? Familiar with statistical forecasting tool/methodology
? An effective project coordinator with a sense of urgency.
? S&OP knowledge and hands-on experience
? Experience with logistics / shipping will be a plus.
? Good team player, being able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team, be organized and detail conscious.
? Good communicator, relationship builder and problem solver.
