Position：Sr. Manager, PTO

Location： Suzhou

Main Objectives：

• To oversee all the PTO function in BSC, while maintain a high level of service to customers to achieve KPI target set for PTO, assist Director to achieve the OP costs saving targets.
• To monitor team’s PTO performance with aim to reduce human error and be responsible for coaching and mentoring of staff. The incumbent also strive to build good team synergy as well as maintain good relationship with authorities, agents, terminals and HLA planners to ensure smooth vessel operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Arrange Vessel, Port and Cargo operations in accordance with local rules / regulations and safety/security procedures.
• Provide forecasts to terminals and vessel planners on cargo set to sail.
• Checking information at terminal and HL systems against actual documentation and for indication of hazardous cargo
• Ensure vessels are loaded and unloaded in a timely fashion
• Arrange and provide cost estimates for special shipments
• Build up CBF report to Singapore planner, which collect all Liner information.
• Offer the special cargo load/discharge element rate expecting at XX
• (RF/OOG/DG/checking).
• Apply the COD matter between Customer Service and Singapore LPO.
• Monitor Terminal performance and suggest all reasonable process into Operation Department.
• Handle special and complicated case within Operation Department.
• Attend meeting with contractors or member lines or terminal operator, port authority, agents and local authorities
• Handle FIS/SAP and act as back up in Operation Director’s absence.
• Provide guidance and training to team members

                              

Qualification:

• Bachelor degree with 8-10 years relevant working experience and/or shipping background
• FIS Knowledge preferred
• Good spoken and write English (CET- 4).
• Good team work and can work under pressure and tight time lines.
• Conversant with international and local operational laws and regulations covering vessel operations / terminal operations / authority requirements / environmental requirements and agency liaison.
• Owns a personal network and relationship with terminal operators / state agents / authorities on an operational level.
• Positive attitude and willing to learn.
• Analytical and able to work independently.
• Experience in managing a team.
• Good team work and can work under pressure.
