IT Senior Manager, Digital Application Support
Job Summary and Mission:
This position contributes to Starbucks success by leading and mentoring to define, drive, and execute on this vision of building best user experience for our customers. You will be responsible for system design, solution review and code quality for frontend developments including native APP, mini program, H5, etc. You will drive the development and delivery of digital experiences that are of flexible design and scalable. You will manage and develop a team of multiple vendors that can collaborate across disciplines including project managers/scrum master, product managers, UX designer and software development engineers. The successful candidate will also be a strong leader who can prioritize well, know how to properly deal with ambiguity and changes in scope, dive deep, demonstrate excellent judgment, have great communication skills, and have a track record for delivering results.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Lead frontend development including but not limited to native APP, mini program, H5, etc.
- Responsible for system design, solution review, conduct code review and code quality assurance for system development and delivery.
- Responsible for the selections of technical solution proposals and management specifications within the team, as well as the optimization of development models.
- Drive and lead the implementation and maintenance of different system modules.
- Participate in program development and design the overall solution for the client side. Also join APP or frontend development cycle as development lead.
- Responsible for tackling key technical problems and difficulties. Lead the detailed technical solution design and reviews, and own detailed solution. Also responsible for aligning with frontend architecture vision and directions.
- Manage the development teams from technical perspective and improve the team overall technical capabilities.
- Lead the team to establish and advocate the best quality application development and engineering practices throughout the frontend development teams to guarantee the reusability and efficiency.
- Provide professional insights for technical solutions and be able to identify and propose short-term and long-term optimization plans.
- Corporate and work closely with cross-function IT vendor partners to ensure timely, quality and cost effective delivery of solution and services. Quick response for online incidents.
- Work hand-in-hand with relevant IT domain leaders or 3rd party technical partners to design, architect, develop, integrate, test and rollout solutions.
- Ensure process compliance with IT security, audit and other standards. And best practices should be aware of leveraging.
- Communicating with the senior leadership team to ensure that they are making informed choices about risk and align IT solution and design with global team.
- Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging practices and standards; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience of independent WeChat frontend development and experience of building scalable Mobile (native and hybrid) apps for a large customer base would be a must.
- Proven strong capability for code architecture, development and integration experience of large scale customer facing digital solutions and complicated systems.
- Strong technical capabilities and experience for ES6, Vue, React for related projects.
- Experience and good knowledge for gulp and webpack.
- Hands on programing experience with development using nodejs/java/go.
- Minimal 5 years’ experience in managing frontend technical development teams. Firm understanding for team motivation and team training improvements.
- Team leader sprit as well as strong responsibility.
- Analytical and flexible minded, proactive team player, good communicator and problem solver
- Good oral and written English skills.
- Good coordination and communication skills, able to work under pressure. Be self-driven.
