Job Summary and Mission
This job contributes to Starbucks success by acting as a strategic business partner and advocate. Ensures effective delivery of Partner Resources products and services to all Starbucks partners in assigned business unit, department or region. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Collaborates with Partner Resources specialist teams and cross- functional teams to ensure clients' organizational needs are met and to develop strategic programs.
- Conducts investigations for employment-related claims. Provides investigation and consultation support to managers addressing partner conduct and performance issues.
- Ensures compliance with Employer of Choice practices to attract high- quality diverse candidates who will contribute to Starbucks success.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Facilitates partner learning and development, retention strategies, succession planning and career development in accordance with Starbucks Mission Statement and Core Values.
- Implements Partner Resources strategic plans, tactics and projects. Integrates company-wide Partner Resources strategic plans, projects and objectives into client business units, departments and regions. May manage other Partner Resources partners.
- Provides consultation and support to managers on partner relations issues and applicable company policies and employment laws.
- Serves as an advocate on behalf of all partners. Solicits and listens to partners' concerns, and takes an active role in resolving problems. Provides information, or facilitates partners' ability to obtain information, about benefits, compensation, training and other Partner Resources programs and services
- Works with assigned business unit, department or regional clients to assess needs and to design and develop organization structures and talent plans.
Summary of Experience
- Human Resources generalist with emphasis in performance development, training, employee relations, and compensation administration (6 years)
- Progressively responsible human resources generalist roles (5 years)
- Consulting with internal clients to identify business needs and recommend solutions (3 years)
- Supervisory experience (3 years)
