Cole-Parmer has the mission to be Scientific Expert with professional product and service. We need a professional Regional Sales Manager or senior manager who has deep insights to Pharma Industry or high-end manufacturing industry, especially good experience to Equipment and Instrument, consumables and services. The person who qualified needs to aggressively drive demand creation activity among team members and business development in our regional direct accounts in China. He/She needs to have strategic thinking and commitment to drive business growth. Expand customer base with direct service, develop strategic cooperation with focus accounts. Build up and enable the team, help your team members for sustainable success. You also need to strengthen our Brand Image among customers. Regular business review to ensure sales target could be achievable and action items under right track. We provide competitive compensation and career ladder. Key Responsibilities:

  • Build up and develop the regional sales team, hire qualified talents and enable them.
  • Drive demand creation among all team members, review sales activity to ensure work productivity.
  • Focus on direct accounts and strong business sense to develop healthy business pipeline.
  • Review sales forecast and meets sales objectives from monthly to annual goals.
  • Meeting direct customers in the market to book orders, resolve outstanding payment, and achieve sales revenue & collection budget on monthly basis.
  • Explores, motivates, directs, and encourages team members. Develops a coach plan, corrective action plan or Performance Improvement plan for subordinates.
  • Regular feedback to manager on market development, competitor’s activity along with daily and monthly report. Submission of all reports to the Line Manager on time to maintain discipline.
  • Supports sales management plans by maintaining effective customer relations and assuring continued market penetration and profitability by making in – depth calls to end Users to achieve sales objectives.
  • Exposure in handling Key Accounts.
  • Implements customer specific action plans.
  • Develops and maintains purchasing and end user relationships.
  • Resolves customer service related issues (i.e. pricing and product availability).
  • Introduces new products and services to the accounts.
  • Develops new customers and performs other tasks as assigned by Manager.
  • Strong selling experiences on pharmaceutical and biotech market

  1. >Supplier Identification/Selection/Qualification
  • Works with current (CPVH, CPI, CPCN, CP Stone, CP Charleston, et.al.) and future portfolio team(s) to evaluate both existing & potential suppliers within current or new product categories
  • Works with Product Sourcing Team to help identify priority of potential suppliers
  • Performs assessment of supplier’s technical capabilities, quality system and production capability
  • Involved in supplier selection process, including but not limited to, product design, prototyping, sampling, testing, etc.
  • Conducts on-site assessment of supplier’s capability, processes, equipment and quality system, along with Sourcing members
  • Develops written assessment report for Product Sourcing team and participates in supplier selection decision

  1. >Supplier Development & Management & Continuous Improvement
  • Monitors and works with suppliers to maintain and improve their performance in quality, change control, lead time, engineering capability, risk mitigation, etc.

o Performs pre-shipment inspection

o Takes lead on corrective actions initiatives to fully support Product Sourcing Team to handle customer related issues

  1. >Others
  • Supports supplier database system set-up
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive sales experience
  • Familiar with selling Laboratory Equipment and Consumables
  • Good written and spoken English skills required.
  • Familiar with pharma and high-end manufacturing market segments

Working Conditions:

· Ability to travel 80% of time.

· Sits at computer for extended periods of time and uses a keyboard and mouse to interact with computer system.

· Frequently uses phone to converse with business partners.

· Frequent writing and reading in both English and Chinese

o Bachelor’s degree required; Quality or Engineering degree preferred

o Must be able to speak, read and write in English and Mandarin

o Minimum of 5 years of Manufacturing, R&D, Supplier management or Quality/Regulatory assurance, 7+ years is preferred.

o Experience with mechanical, chemicals, electronics, disposables and contract manufacturing, such as injection molding, machining, metals, tubing, molding, polymers, silicone, stamping and wire forming

o Experience with Life Science/Biopharmaceutical product lines is a plus

o Sound understanding of ISO 9000 and 13485 standards

o Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills working with both Chinese and other Asian suppliers

o Excellent oral and written communications skills with the ability to interface and influence at all organizational levels

o Experience with project management and proficient in the use of project management tools

o Competent with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Working Conditions:

  • Sits at computer using a keyboard and mouse to interact with computer system.
  • Frequently uses phone to converse with business partners.
  • Frequent writing and reading in both English and Chinese
  • Frequent travels to domestic and/or international suppliers with up to 80%.
