JOB OBJECTIVES:
1. Extract maximum value for APT operations from the emerging manufacturing base in Asia by
2. Identify and evaluate suitable co-operation partners (suppliers, tollers, service providers) to ensure that company AP develops a reliable supplier/toller base in Asia, that is capable to deliver products in time, in spec, at best costs and in compliance with company global RC, EHS, and QA/QC guidelines.
3. Implement and lead sourcing and tolling projects (including transfer of technical package, design, modification and construction of plants) at our partners (toll manufacturer).
4. Participate negotiation of toll manufacturing and supply agreements as one member of negotiation team
5. Manage and supervise running sourcing/tolling operations to guarantee sustainable supply in terms of quality, costs, and EHS compliance.
6. Set up targets and implementation plans for process improvements at the tollers to reduce raw material and variable manufacturing costs.
7. Propose supply strategies for products available in Asia with the objective to optimize manufacturing costs of APT while balancing risk and opportunities.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Market intelligence, identification of tolling / sourcing partners
1). Identify and evaluate suitable co-operation partners (suppliers, tollers, strategic partners) and provide detailed information regarding product portfolio, capacities, specifications, quotations, financial stability, company vision and strategy, management, EHS and QA standards, etc (company profiles).
2). Provide information about the generic landscape.
　
2. Project implementation
1). Assess technical implementation plan, production and safety concept of tollers
2). Moderate and lead technical discussions with supplier / toller
3). Drive implementation plan to meet delivery schedule, specification, COG targets, EHS/QA requirements.
4). Close communication and coordination with global units (APT/T, APT/S)
5). Co-operate with APT/TS chemistry team in bigger projects. Focus on engineering design, production and safety concept of the tollers.
　
3. Routine operations
1). Coordinate and manage routine operations at suppliers / tollers to guarantee sustainable supply in terms of timely delivery, quality, costs, and EHS compliance.
2). Set targets with tollers for process improvements to reduce raw material and variable manufacturing costs.
3). Reconciliations of production campaigns.
4). Troubleshooting
　
4. EHS/Responsible Care
Guide and train suppliers and tollers with respect to EHS and responsible care to ensure they meet company requirements in these area.
　
5. Contract, commercial terms
Negotiate supply and toll manufacturing agreements with partners
　
6. Act as focal point for all technical related and commercial aspects for supplier and company units:
global AP units [especially technology (APT/T), sourcing and supply chain community (APT/S), Agro BV, marketing], global and regional QA and RC / EHS team (GU/BR), purchasing (GR) department, legal department, etc
　
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Education: Bachelor degree or plus in chemical engineering
2. Experience: 1). Minimum 5 years experience in the following areas; 2). Production, project management, process development/technology and sourcing; 3). 3rd party relationship management; 4). Contract management and commercial negotiation
3. Technical & Professional Knowledge: Good English skills
