Report to: Manager of Technology Implementation
Scope
? Play the role of internal chemical engineering expertise to apply advanced technology into current COMPANY process to drive cost reduction and process optimization.
? Work closely with R&D team to develop new process/product from lab to pilot scale.
Major Responsibilities
? Lead and participate in the development and transfer of technology from Lab to commercial production. Initiate or involve early in the process development stage with process R&D chemist group to ensure the process could be developed and smoothly scaled up to commercial scale.
? Work closely with tolling plant to identify the yield improvement and cost reduction opportunities.
? Apply advanced engineering technology into current COMPANY process to drive cost reduction and process optimization.
? Design pilot plant program to obtain the all necessary engineering information for future startups.
? Support startup projects as required.
? Participate in yearly product standard cost setting and yield projections, and work closely with tolling site manager to make sure the product produced at cost and yield as budgeted.
? Participate in setting up the process performance tracking system to monitor the safety, quality and economical performance on each product
? Work closely with process R&D chemist group for the cost estimation and project budget preparation for new process introduction.
? Keep API management regularly updated on the progress of on-going projects through formal reports, memos and presentations.
? Ensure that COMPANY`s standards of safety, health, environment and Responsible Care implemented and sustained in all activities.
? Be responsible for keeping the COMPANY technology confidential and updated, to ensure that the TTP reflex the exactly what we are doing at site.
Requirements
? MS or higher degree of education in Chemical Engineering
? 6+ years experience in the fine chemical industries. Experience with organic chemical synthesis and workup both R&D and manufacturing is preferable.
? Strong chemical engineering knowledge, capable of process engineering development and various stage of scale up, e. g. engineer research and development, conceptual design and technical support for industrial realization.
? Strong process optimization and trouble shooting skills.
? Good knowledge of process safety as well as environmental control and regulations
? Is a self-starter, can work independently and good team player.
? Strong in oral and written communication in both English and Mandarin
