Primary Function And/or Responsibility:

The Supplier Quality Engineer understands and applies the principles of vendor-supplied product quality evaluation and control. This includes:

· Performs technical analysis, evaluation, and testing in an effort to resolve quality related product problems.

· Works with associated individuals and groups to identify and implement effective corrective actions to resolve quality issues.

· Has a basic knowledge and experience with quality-related processes

Application and analysis of manufacturing’s testing and inspection procedures

Required Education:

BS Degree in technical field required, preferably in Engineering (Electrical).

Key Job Elements:

2+ year experience as a supplier quality engineer

Experience working with electrical assembly processesSMT, PCBA, Final Assembly

Acquainted with QC processes such as IQC/IPQC/FQC/OQC or OBA.

Able to follow production schedules and perform Quality inspection and/or audit at suppliers and retain the inspection records into system when following up the open items/findings with suppliers until its closure.

Participates within the organization in Advanced Quality Planning

• Measurement Systems
• First Article Inspections
• Supplier SKU Approval Process
• Quality Audit Plan
• Quality Improvement Program
• QA Reliability Testing

Analyzes data relevant to the organization and generates performance improvement conclusions and reports to show findings

Participates in the QA-CAR process

• Helps to determine root cause of the problem
• Works with US HQ QA or with the Supplier to effectively implement and afterwards verify/validate the appropriate corrective action (CLCA)

Ability to speak, read and write English

Knowledge of ISO9001, IPC-610, UL standards

Electronics industry experience preferred

Familiar with quality assurance methodologies and able to practically apply

Understands root cause and corrective action processes, and how to lead root cause investigation

Ability to manage multiple projects, instill continuous improvements throughout the organization.

Able to travel 50-75% primarily in Southern China (ZhongShan, ShenZhen, GuangZhou, DongGuan, etc.) for various power supply products and their sub-suppliers (or subcontractors). Also, be flexible to travel out of Southern China or even out of China if necessary.

Able to work independently such as in a home office or at a vendor factory

Open minded, willing to do team work and mutually communicate in the team.
