JOB DESCRIPTION

– EXPECTATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Translating business and technical requirements into detailed design specifications for application code and modules.

·         Develop new user-facing features by following disciplined software development processes.

·         Build reusable code and libraries for future use

·         Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

·         Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability

·         Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end

·         Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

·         Participating in project planning sessions with team members to analyse requirements

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

– TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

·         Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3

·         Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS

·         Master at least 1~2 popular JS frameworks e.g. JQuery, AngularJs, React, Vue, Polymer

·         Strong knowledge of web & web component standards

·         Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them

·         Familiarity with differences in other HTML5 based views, such as ones in email clients

·         Knack of adhering to best design practices

·         Fair understanding of JavaScript programming and DOM manipulation

·         Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git / SVN.

·         Good English reading/writing capability is required.

·         Financial Market Industry product design is a big plus.

- EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS

?             BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject

?             5+ years working experience in software development projects

?             Quick learner

?             Self-motivated and good teamwork spirit

?             Passion on frontend design and development

?             Curious about new technologies and tools, creative thinking and initiative taking

?             Good demo and presentation skills

?             Enthusiastic & pro-active, process oriented

?             Ability to work under tight deadlines with high stress tolerance and potentially overtime with advance notice from management.

?             Optimistic, and open-minded.
