Principal Accountabilities and key competencies:

  

-Ability to work with sales, operations and business management to develop complex financial models to assist in driving and managing our business in China. Ability to quickly understand customers, products and application sectors in critical to success. -Insightful identification of key business issues with regard to sales and margins including risks, opportunities in both actuals and forecasts

  

-Support sales organisation in provision of information for MBTs and QARs

  

-Insightful analysis of progress against forecast and budget including effective communication to a variety of stakeholders.

  

-Ongoing support and review including analysis supporting sales & COS accruals, L&E and consignment stock provisions and balance sheet reconciliations, revenue accrual, billing expediting and cut-off reviews etc

  

-Work with the Business Finance network and other stakeholders in the business to deliver end to end process improvement and drive up the quality of both reporting and analysis.

  

-Support Asia Regional team with Ad hoc reporting and projects

Commercial Analysis & Support

  

-Provide analytical support to China Controller for revenue, margin and overheads. 

  

-Month end data analysis – complete assigned business lines’ reviews and provide commentary

  

-Forecasting / budgeting – assigned business lines’ sales and margins

  

-Manages the provision of assigned business lines’ Sales and Contribution reporting

  

-QAR process management – Assigned business lines’ QAR approvals and follow up reporting

  

-Margin analysis including exception reporting and review

  

-Support forecasting and budget process

  

-Control consignment stock reporting and provisions

  

Project Support

  

-Support the assigned business lines’ Business case preparation and complex modelling for investment appraisal

  

-Support Operations function with investment appraisal support for new factory selection, understanding tax issues and incentives available.

  

Business Plan Development  - -Support development  and tracking of assigned business lines’ strategy together with senior management.

  

-Lead analytical support and full financial modelling of corporate plan including revenue, cost, and cashflow and balance sheet for business requiring close collaboration with commercial and operations teams, local finance team, BLM.  Position will support China business lines with strategy development, execution and monitoring across a complex range of customers, application sectors, products and will form the basis to assess the overhead and capital needs in the business lines.

  

Skills / Knowledge / Experience:

  

-Good financial related Degree required, MBA preferred

  

-5-10 years in a financial analysis environment

  

- MS Office including excellent excel skills to advanced macro level

  

- English- Excellent written and spoken skills required

  - SAP, BW, Hyperion or similar ERP and planning software (BPC)
