Objective of Job:

-      Strive for sourcing for quality, drive and coordinate suppliers to perform on site activities such as team visits and PPAP/ APQP in a timely manner. Secure inputs to sourcing for quality evaluations

-      Secure that global supplier base fulfils quality and capacity requirements and utilizes APQP reporting while launching new products

-      Secures that the Program Status and the overall APQP status are communicated from the supplier base to the Development teams, SQM Management, Purchase and the Program Management

-      Drive continuous improvements and resolution of systematic SQM process concerns

-      Interacts with multicultural internal company SQM as well as a global supplier base. Interacts with SQM management and program and quality management level at supplier base

-      Drive the implementation of APQP reporting for concerned suppliers, resolution in structured way with DMAIC and 8D method

-      Drive the implementation of SEP process. Responsible for critical and priority Suppliers identification

 

General Skills

-      Excellent communication skills and demonstrated fluency in English, written and spoken, as well as experiences working in global environment.

-      Good general computer skills inc. MS office suite.

 

Mgt and Leadership Skills

-      Have group companies working network or capability to develop with strong communication skills and work with cross function team

-      Knowledge about the 'western' business style preferred

-      Willing to take the lead and challenge others to deliver

-      Have a holistic view and high degree of courage, integrity and business ethics

 

Qualifications

-      5 years+ SQM experience from the automotive industry

-      University degree in engineering or equivalent

-      Familiar with auto component global supply base footprint, and key tier X

-      Knowledge of manufacturing processes including final assembly including JIT/JIS, injection molding, and plastic painting etc. is meritorious

-      Strong capability to train and support suppliers with knowledge about quality systems such as TS16949, and by using and implementing required quality assurance tools such as 8D, SPC, TPM, APQP, PPAP

-      Verified Six Sigma Green or Black Belt competence and capability

-      Knowledge about Lean Manufacturing is meritorious
