职位描述

Title: Technical Sales

Reports To: Regional Sales Manager

Location: Shanghai, China


Summary

Identify, qualify and close sales opportunities in biotech and pharmaceutical accounts for HTRF reagents and related products. Create and manage sales and marketing initiatives, incorporating current and evolving customer requirements. Provide field based technical support through demonstrating HTRF products in the customer’s lab, presenting on-site HTRF seminars, performing on-site trouble shooting of HTRF assays. The ideal candidate should work under minimal supervision and utilize standard procedures and processes to establish and execute both sales plan and technical support. Extensive travel domestically and, upon occasion, internationally; attendance at industry related meetings.


Key Responsibilities

1. Manage Sales in the Territory

· Achievement of both top and bottom line objectives for the HTRF product line. Identify, qualify and close sales opportunities in the biotech and pharmaceutical customer base.

· Establish a network of scientific contacts in pharmas and biotechs to propose the HTRF products and services. Independently handle product demonstration, customer training and technical assistance. Develop new customers in the territory. Establish close relationship with purchasing department.

· Coordinate sales order, logistics, and potential inventory management

· Provide primary source of market/customer intelligence to assist business development strategy and to maximize company competitiveness and success. Communicate current and evolving customer needs to assist Research and Development strategy.

· Prepare and implement sales forecasts in association with management to maximize product line sales and business development.

· Identify promotional and other marketing support needs. Contribute to Marketing Plan development. Support trade show promotion by attendance at industry related meetings.


2. Manage the Technical Support in the Territory

· Provide on-site technical support to customers, helping them implement HTRF technology, migrate assays from therapeutic areas to HTS. Provide technical support and training by phone and e-mail to Chinese customers for all HTRF products

· Generate and maintain demonstration reports and monthly customer feedback reports to provide record of technical development work on behalf of customers


Critical Success Factors

1. Technical Skills

· A science degree in a relevant field, Master of Biological Sciences or Ph.D. desirable

· A minimum of three years experience working in a customer technical support, sales roles or Assay Development/High Throughput Screening within the HTS market, with proven success

· In depth knowledge of theoretical and applied HTRF technology

· A solid understanding of the industry and market conditions affecting the territory/product line(s)

· Strong Computer skills, including Usage of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Graph Pad Prism
