JOB OBJECTIVES:

Purchase logistics services in specific segment. Support integration project and optimization project for linked sites. Develop transport and distribution solution for existing business and new plants

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Track and analyze China logistics regulations, infrastructures, transportation and distribution logistics service market and trend.

2. Support in developing procurement strategy for responsible segments for Greater China.

3. Responsible for procurement segments for several legal entities and functional leadership to selective linked sites.

4. Purchase logistics service to meet business requirements

- Understand business demand and requirements

- Negotiate, select, conclude and maintain the contracts with logistics service providers (LSPs) in compliance will all related procedures

- Cooperate with JVs Verbund site and leverage bundling synergy

- Implement EHS standards and Responsible Care scheme together with LSPs

5. Manage LSP supplier relationship; Develop together with LSPs, e.g. by introducing advanced logistics techniques and management in operation.

6. Maintain logistics contract master data in BASF application systems for assigned LSPs; Monitor and generate logistics service volume, expense and savings in procurement reports.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Education: Bachelor in logistics, economics or engineering.

2. Working experience: >5 years work experience in manufactory logistics function or 3rd party logistics service providers, including 2+ year logistics operation experience; chemical background is preferred.

3. Technical & Professional Knowledge: Good command of verbal and written English and Mandarin; Good communication and interpersonal skills; Good computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
