As an Application Engineer, you will be part of the Robotics and Motion (RM) Business and Drives (BL) Business Line based in Beijing. ABB is the World leader in Robotics and Motion (RM) division offering a wide range of products and services including drives, motors, generators and robots. Key applications include energy conversion, actuation, automation, standardized manufacturing cells for applications such as machine tending, welding, cutting, painting, finishing, palletizing and packing, and engineered systems for the automotive industry.

？ Customized mechanical design.
？ Mechanical BOM for manufacturing.
？ Production and customer drawings.
？ Production assembly instruction and trouble shooting.
？ Field installation instruction.
？ Engineering change management and release via ECN.
？ Technical inquiries related to product structure, strength, dimension, weight, materials, painting, cooling, maintenance, installation, environment condition.
？ Special design technical evaluation and pre-engineering during pre-sales phase, cost and efforts estimation.
？ R&D / PE pilot projects support.
？ Support R&D team to execute pilot project of new R&D product.
？ Support PE team to execute pilot project of new product HW release.
？ Other mechanical design and consultant support.
？ Requirement from production related to manufacturing/testing tooling.
？ Team internal requirement related testing/simulating/emulating tooling.

？ A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical or High voltage technology or related field.
？ More than 5 years of working experience in drive panel design or high voltage and low voltage switchgear panel design.
？ Expert with design tools “Creo” and “Solid Edge”.
？ Familiar with ABB drive product especially ACS580MV and ACS880 cabinet product
？ Team work spirit, collaboration with local and international colleagues.
？ Strong ownership and self-motivated Hard-working spirit.
？ Fluent in English.
？ Strong commitment to safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines.
