Job Title: Senior Engineer/ Manager, Instrumentation

Work Location: Shanghai -Gaoqiao, Pudong (Shuttle bus is Provided)
Reporting to: Manager Asia Pacific, Electrical and Instrumentation
People Management Responsibility: No
Travel Required: Yes
Shift Required: No

JOB OBJECTIVES:
He/She is responsible for the achievement for the E&I project tasks including conception (frontend loading) basic and detailed design, construction, procurement and start-up within an E & I investment volume of up to ? 3 Million. He/She is executing planning and cost estimation for project tasks focusing on Instrumentation. He/She will be assigned to project teams on request.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Define the basic Instrumentation scheme with following BASF design standards;
2. Review and finalize the instrumentation design documents;
3. Support and coordinate with other disciplines regarding E & I issues;
4. Implement and supervise the field instrumentation works for construction, test & commissioning;
5. Develop E & I concepts and ensure codes and standards;
6. Manage, review, comment and release instrumentation documents;
7. Assist and provide technical supports for maintenance issue in plants.
8. Responsible for functional, on time and within budget technical planning for the technical processing and procurement of equipment for projects.
9. Monitor contractors or support complete planning/management for projects.
10. Track project-specific targets for the discipline within the framework of the project design and implementation into planning.
11. Coordinating and implementing orders for a team.
12. Responsible for costs and deadlines within project frame.
13. Coordinate quality assurance for goods and services. Compliance with agreed health, safety and environmental objectives.
14. Cooperate actively and interculturally with clients, EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) contractors as well as all project participants within the BASF Group.
15. Supports basic enginnering with understandings of chinese authority requirements
16. Supports basic engineering with local knowledge
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Bachelor degree with major study in Chemical or Mechanical engineering mandatory - Master degree will be an advantage
2. At least more than 8 years work experiences in chemical and petrochemical industry
3. Open minded active, creative team-player and self-motivated.
4. Skilled in relevant softwares/tools
5. Proficient spoken and written English and Chinese (mandarin) skil
