JOB OBJECTIVES:
· Work on the routine analysis and testing for raw materials or finished/ intermediate goods or quality of water in the lab or assigned by the superior.
· To develop new products & new technology to grow business.
· Provide technical supports to customers for compounded lubricants & additives.
· Conduct and Involve in technical projects .

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Under guidance of the management, execute all development work for new products and improvement of existing products, if necessary, from initial scoping to the manufacture of production batches of the final product.
2. Submit monthly progress reports on all technical and laboratory activities to the Technical Manager.
3. Adapt existing formulations to meet specific customer requirements, or to allow the use of alternative raw materials. Testing could involve experimental, analytical and application work.
4. Develop a detailed understanding of new and existing products. Understand key production processes of each product.
5. Introduce new products to the plant by providing:
(a) manufacturing methods
(b) typical specifications
(c) full technical support
(d) product bulletins when required
(e) initiating process improvements
(f) in conjunction with the SHEQ manager, prepare Materials Safety Data Sheets.
6. Maintain close working relationships with local Technical Service, Production, QC, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Sales, and the SBUs.
7. Establish and maintain contact with technical and laboratory personnel at other regional locations.
8. Maintain assigned laboratory equipment in good running order; organize services and repairs as required by good housekeeping.
9. Demonstrate performance and advantages of new developments to technical sales staffs.
10. Support QC, technical sales staff in case of product quality complaints.
11. To keep all business information such as recipe or know-how highly confidential and not be disclosed to others without the permission from the SBU Head.


12. General SHEQ Accountabilities
Conducting tasks delegated by the company's SHEQ team.
Ensure following of the company's Management system, defining/following up of corrective and preventative actions within defined responsibilities.


REQUIREMENTS:
1.Bachelor of Chemistry (perferred) and Chemical Engineering/Technology
2.Previous laboratory experience (2-3 yrs) required
3.Knowledge in fuels/lubes/oil industry, in- house formulation development & testing skill . (advantage)
4.Good customer focus
5.Communication and Interpersonal Understanding
6.Safety, Health and Environment Awarness
