PURPOSE:

  

 

  

Collaborate with people to achieve business goals related to Supply Chain Quality Management. This includes effective supplier evaluation, selection, training, communication, and systemic quality and process improvements involving sampling plans, receiving and source inspection ensuring value add to our customers. Drives process improvements and standardization in inspection activities. Identifies opportunities for improvement, causes of non-conformance, and disruptions to execution and implements solutions or drives preventive action.

  

 

  

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY:

  

 

  

• Maintains the quality system to comply with API (American Petroleum Institute) and ISO (Industry Standards Organization).

• Coordinates the quality effort within various Team.  Answers quality related questions and develops and clarifies quality procedures.  Meets with manufacturing and assembly personnel, subcontractor(s) and customer representative inspectors to ensure that the plan is implemented correctly and to resolve any problems.  Ensures subcontractor compliance with the Quality Plan.  Ensures that quality measurements are met.

• Provides support on quality requirements for Projects, First Article and Trial Order Qualifications

• Tracks and monitors Quality Performance. Support In resolution of QN's raised related to suppliers.

• Leads Supplier Quality and HSE audits of Quality and HSE Systems.

• Acts as a liaison for satellite plant quality systems.  Assists in the implementation of ISO Quality Systems at satellite plants.

• Completely investigates Corrective Action Reports (CAR’s) and major Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).  Identifies families of similar or recurring problems and identifies opportunities for preventative action.

• Initiates and leads quality process improvements and quality related educational efforts for individuals within own organization and suppliers

• Ensures that assignments conform to FMC BPMS, guidelines and specifications.

• Proactively manages safety and environmental issues and ensures compliance with Federal and State standards including Hazardous Waste Disposal and Air Quality Standards.  Ensures that issues are identified and addressed in a timely manner.  Provides leadership in achieving safety goals.

                    

 

  

QUALIFICATIONS:

  

• Degree in Materials, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering preferred.

• Must know all quality, and safety procedures for assigned area.

• Must have ability to comprehend all engineering and weld blueprints and all written and verbal engineering procedures.

• Must be able to interpret test specifications. Must have knowledge of manufacturing processes, data management, system analysis, American Petroleum Institute (API) requirements and International Standards Organization (ISO) standards. 

• Working knowledge of process improvement and problem solving techniques like Lean, Six sigma, 8 disciplines, root cause analysis process etc.

• Must have demonstrated performance as a change agent with leadership and project management skills.

• Oilfield equipment manufacturing knowledge helpful.

• Fluent in written and spoken English. Strong in both verbal and written technical communication.

• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications.

• Possess effective leadership ability within a team environment.

• Demonstrate exceptional negotiation, motivating, planning, and interpersonal and communication skills.

• Maintain the ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast pace environment.

• Demonstrates proficiency in mentoring, thinking creatively and function as a subject matter expert.
