Job description

CMT is reinforcing its focus on China to achieve its growth ambition for our Parts and Services business within the region. The focus will be on the China market with a roll-out to the region envisaged to start after successful implementation.
You will be responsible for the Parts and Services business development in China. You will be located in Nanjing, China and reporting to a steering group that consist of the SDE,ADS and URE Vice-Presidents, Parts and Services operationally and to the GM of the CMT Nanjing PC administrationally.


As the Parts and Services Development Manager it is your mission to build on the proven experience and structure that exists in the China Customer Centre (CC) today and to primarily analyze the current divisional strategies in place for service and together with the CC create and propose 2-3 different alternatives for a long term and sustainable China service strategy along with investment requirements so the divisions can discuss and approve a Common approach.

Alongside this responsibility for market development, the successful candidate will also take responsibility to continue and even further develop the marketing interface between the Product Companies (PC) and the CC, to ensure that a strong and transparent relationship is maintained.
You will work closely with the CC Parts and Services manger and be expected to suggest, get agreement and implement changes to ensure operational efficiency and Parts and Services growth.

Your main responsibilities are to-:

1. Work with local CC management to develop and implement a strategic business model and marketing plan for Parts and Services in China.
2. Review and adapt to local market price levels for the local products while maintaining Divisional goals and quality levels, this will be done in conjunction with the divisional pricing responsible Managers.
3. Facilitate and actively drive the localisation of spare parts in China together with the PC and DC to ensure long term sustainable Parts business in China and ultimately in the region.
4. Work closely with the equipment division Product Managers to ensure that our service strategy is aligned with the equipment development process.
5. Communication and Professional training within the region when required for Parts and Services Product as well as the CMT Common Approach initiative updates.
6. Participate to local BRMs in the Region and monitor progress on action plans, chair remains with the Divisional Management
7. Prepare a Monthly Report on trends and ongoing activities per market as well as follow-up

It is your responsibility to make sure that the divisional targets of NIS, consolidated profit and customer shares are communicated and supported within the PC & CC to enable that they are able to achieve these within the China market and later on in the region.

The mission has a strong Parts and Services Business development focus as well as reviewing and re modelling the Service business model within China and shall be primarily operational in the field, the candidate, together with the CC, is expected to motivate colleagues to increase the focus on the Parts and Services business (as well having a strategic interest to develop the total CMT business within the region. It will be expected that you will visit the end customers with the CC to ensure accurate and valuable feedback is obtained and fed back to PC and DC.


Experience requirements/Knowledge
We are looking for a dynamic, motivated and creative individual who is keen to be part of developing our P&S business further together with the local Customer Centre. The person we are looking for is fluent in English, has more than 5-8 years of experience from Parts and Services business within a global organization and has the ability to adapt easily to different cultures. We think that strong analytical and reasoning skills with financial understanding are important to fulfil the mission and you need to be able to travel extensively locally as well as some international travelling.

It would be an advantage if the successful candidate can speak Chinese and has Chinese market experience.


Educational requirements
Degree holder, engineering background preferably and a track record of delivering result.
