Purpose/Objective:
Rampup staff to support LBS R&D project as planned.

Area of Responsibilities:
1. Participate in new product development (product definition, concept and prototype development, verification & validation, documentation, design transfer)
2. Lead software design and testing effort for new product development
3. Collaborate with global teams to drive synergies across common software platforms
4. Build strong testing infrastructure and drive software reliability improvement.
5. Work with cross-functional team to ensure product design meets the requirement for manufacturing, cost, service, and regulation.
7. Assist manager in team and competence build-up

Education:
Bacheler or Master degree in Computer Science or related field

Skills & Knowledge:
? Hands-on experience and solid capability in:
? Object oriented design methodology and excellent programming skill with C/C++
? Software development life cycle (e.g. ISO 62304) and automated testing methods
? Software development under Linux/Qt environment
? Firmware development for microcontroller/DSP families including: ARM, PowerPC etc.

Experience:
1. Minimal 5 years experience in software development on embedded system
2. Experience in software platform and system architecture development
3. Experience with design for software reliability, and agile or lean software development
4. Medical device or life science product development experience, especially experience with complex system development
5. Global collaboration experience in matrix organization

Personal Skills / Attributes:
? Good problem solving skill (root cause analysis, FMEA, etc.) and technical communication ability
? Must be a team player

Other areas: eg. Language & office skill
Good English communication ability (verbal and written)
