Job Description:

Platform Software Engineer is responsible for platform software design and implementation of industrial grade software on embedded real-time platform for the FWA products.

1. Responsible for requirement analysis together with System engineer/Architecture, software high level/Detail design document and the implementation.

2. Cooperation with other teams to ensure the design integration and verification in professional way. Verify the functions and provide the efficient support to fix the issue during the test.

3. Develop software on embedded Linux which include Linux kernel customization/optimization, embedded chipset SDK porting/customization, HW driver development and board bring up, low level BSP/HW issue investigation, factory manufacturing support, and application development including management, data forwarding and protocols/interfaces.

4. Making sure SW delivery on time with high quality under project target

Qualifications:

1. Education background: bachelor degree or above with major in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Telecom related areas.

2. Work experience: 3+ years software development experiences with proven product delivery record

3. Required Skills:

- Advance level of C software programming, analyzing and designing, familiar with shell script or python.

- Solid Linux OS experiences including kernel update and build, boot loader, image distribution etc.

- Rich experiences on embedded system SDK porting board bring up, and system boot up process.

- Linux programming skill including IPC, thread, socket, I/O, interrupt, driver etc.

- Rich Knowledge of software engineering tools for source code version management Git, Mercurial etc.

- Language Ability: Good at reading, oral and writing in English.

5. Plus

- knowledge on IP protocols, VLAN/TCP/IP/DHCP/DNS/SSH/NAT/IPv6/PPPoE/SNMP etc.

- Telecom network product development experiences

- Technical leader or project management experiences
