Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in electrical / mechanical engineering or related subjects. 

Take the 1.5/2.5MW Wind turbine Generator commissioning training course
Complete the EHS requirements for commissioning and adherence

• Good oral and written communication skills in English 
• Strong electrical skills primary, Mechanical skills secondary
• High level PC skills including understanding of network communications  (IP addressing)
• Deep technical background on wind turbine commissioning to perform technical advising to contracted wind projects
• Ability to ascend and descend to heights up to 100M several times per day. (Physical demands include climb, bend crouch, kneel and crawl in tight spaces in extreme weather conditions) /for extended periods. Able to lift approx. 30 kg by pulley.
• Ability to travel within the China and abroad without restrictions and willing to travel globally to remote project locations up to 3 month on site.
• High mobility, willingness to adapt and accept changing environment.
• Good at communication and would like to work with team.
• Customer service oriented.
• Valid Passport
• Valid local driver license is mandatory and must be capable of driving at site condition.

 

Responsibilities:

• Assist site manager in daily site work.
• Will be involved in all phases of commissioning and startup acting as part of a 2-man team.
• Will need to be able to perform alignments, phase rotation, mechanical and electrical checkout.
• Keep Reporting of GE electronic tools and databases as there are Clarify, e-DSR, P-NET, SSP5, COQ and Reporting of project documentation as there are PACT, FACT, CCT, commissioning certificates, site job books, as well as accurate maintenance of turbine specific punch list
• Manage and coordinate on a daily basis site commissioning resources.
• Report errors, violations or problems to the site manager immediately for action through the GFO reporting systems.
• Daily report to site manager and maintain records that fully reflect their daily activities.
• Initiate e-field services case to initiate resolution when issues arise
• Answer technical questions to Management, Engineering, Sourcing, Project Management to resolve issues with equipment on site
• Initiate quality reports to capture the cost of quality and drive changes
• Ensure strict EHS/Quality requirements for commissioning are complied with.
• Responsible for the effective electrical testing of equipment. Review and interpret electrical schematics. Work with high level computer skills including understanding of network communications (IP addressing)
• Responsible for troubleshooting electrical circuits, converter turbine commissioning, submitting technical questions to the appropriate engineering group when issues or variations arise that has the potential to affect Safety Quality and Schedule.
• Responsible for requesting authorization from the site manager before leaving the site for site demobilization, R&R or other personal business outside of his assigned project.  If the site manager is not available, contact the project manager for approval. 
• Responsible for courtesy notification to the site manager of the potential for excessive out of scope overtime due travel or work.
• Responsible for maintaining assigned Vehicle in a responsible manner.
