Your contribution at AIG

• Ownership of the overall PC Branch FGEN ownership for both major and minor lines;
• Direction setting for team member regarding branch strategy or product specific strategy;
• Develops, communicates, and implements strategies within the context of agreed guidance from CHO, APAC, or NY;
• Implements and adapts regional underwriting guidelines, manages the underwriting delegation process, and monitors the underwriting results;
• Identifies, develops and maintains key producers and clients relationship;
• Acts as final underwriting resource for the team on branch level;
• Responsible for new products development and alternate distribution channels as needed, organizes and implements cross marketing with other profit centers wherever possible;
• Sets performance objectives, evaluates his/her staff, identifies performers and non-performers monitors and manages performance of profit center staff in accordance with matrix principles; supervises, mentors, trains and develops the team;
• Sets succession plan.

What we are looking for

• University Degree and professional qualification(s);
• Ability to pursue initiatives with energy and urgency & demonstrate entrepreneurship by finding opportunities and putting them into action;
• At least 7 years of underwriting, broking & management experience;
• Strong local market & industry knowledge, thoroughly familiar with local operating and competitive environment;
• Proven leadership and people management skills in managing a  team;
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with different levels in the organization;
• Fluent spoken and written English/Chinese (Mandarin).
