Are you looking for an exciting and rewarding sales opportunity?  Stop your search!  PerkinElmer is looking for a motivated, experienced to accelerate our growth in the Food Safety Industry.  The APAC Distributor Manager is responsible for distribution and direct end-user sales across APAC .  The successful candidate for this position will be expected to successfully drive sales growth through existing customers and recruit and retain new customers.

Our Team

The ideal candidate will manage a territory which includes travel throughout the region, serving our current customer base, and bring significant growth.  We are asking that the individual be highly motivated, have a team mentality for achievement, and have a willingness to learn new methods and technology.  Ideally the candidate will have laboratory and/or process experience, at least two years of sales experience, a degree in science or like studies, and the motivation to succeed.  Experience in ELISA and lateral flow based products plus NIR bench and process instruments a plus.  The ideal candidate will live in China but can be flexible.


Job Responsibilities

·       Responsible for all aspects of territory management including: recommending and implementing channel strategy, sales strategy, coordination with sales teams for execution of sales, prioritization and establishment of relationships and close deals with new and existing customers

·       Represent the science and applications for Food Safety products, aligning with Food Business Unit including coordination of needs, customer feedback and championing new application ideas and collaborations

·       Develop a strong, working technical knowledge of entire portfolio, scientific applications involved and end markets.

·       Meet the regional sales quota: manage and expand distribution relationships in the region and target and convert large end-users for national and food safety global accounts

·       Work effectively with marketing on the execution of customer-focused communication programs and new product development

·       Manage reporting for the following key areas: new product opportunity analysis, sales forecasting, budgeting, product pricing, account funnel management



Qualifications

·       BS in a Life Science discipline preferred, but would be open to other degrees of technical nature.

·       5+ years sales experience in the food safety testing industry OR 5+ years selling reagents / consumables in the in vitro diagnostics industry with proven ability to carry and deliver a sales quota of a minimum of $500K, preferably over $1M

·       Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.

·       Self-motivated and energetic with a results-focused approach to achieving daily goals/activities.

·       Aptitude to learn new systems and retain technical information.

·       Willingness for 50% overnight travel.

·       Must speak English and Mandarin
