Network Development

Network Development Department is central to HSBC China network strategy that is to sustain market presence through network leadership. It is a business agnostic yet cohesive function, reporting to country management, that delivers the planning and execution of HSBC China network strategy, working with Global Businesses and Global Functions. It also houses a corporate office team, which key function is to act as CEO/ DCEO delegate in corporate issues of material significance to the Bank that require dedicated resources from corporate office to steer.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of Assistant Network Planning Manager.

In this role, you will:

·Work independently whilst under the guidance of Distribution Planning Manager in planning work of distribution network rollout including 5-year distribution plans and business assessment of new outlets.

·Work closely with Global Business, Branches and other stakeholders with regards to the business potential and feasibility of branches/sub-branches in various aspects (eg. business projections, configuration, etc.).

·Conduct feasibility studies to scope the business potential of new geographical or business areas.

·Support the Post Implementation Review (PIR) on branch/sub-branch investment projects to scrutinise the projects’ financial performances and progress, as well as safeguard the project to be implemented properly.

·Review the current analytical methodologies with assitance from key functions, making necessary modification to ensure the accuracy and practicality of the team’s analytical model in this rapidly changing business environment.

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

·University degree (recognized by the state) in business management or relevant disciplines. MBA degree is a strong plus.

·At least 3 years of multinational company working experience at strategic planning or business development functions.

·Strong coordinating skills and leadership skills. Proven analytical skills and writing skills.

·Front line experience in banking industry a strong plus.

·Able to handle complex and sensitive matters in a matured and professional manner.
