Role and Responsibility:
As key member of the R&D team, he/she will:
- Responsible for Mechatronics transmission design of Histology products.
- Participate in new product development (product definition, concept and prototype development, verification & validation, design transfer)
- Work on mechanical design, testing and manufacturing effort for new product development
- Provide documentation for CE, UL or other standard along with design
- Work with cross-functional team to ensure product design meets the requirement for manufacturing, cost, service, and regulation.
- Assist supply chain selection and production process (assembly and inspection) development

Essential Requirement:
- Above B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimal 5 years industry experience in mechanical design, testing, and manufacturing
- Hands-on experience and solid capability in:
a) Above 5 years experiences with CAD software (like Pro/E, AutoCAD, PDM etc.)
b) Excellent experience with Mechatronics transmission design and motion analysis, such as belt drive, gear drive, lead screw drive, motor drive etc.
c) Excellent knowledge of mechatronics system design and integration (component selection, trade-off analysis, knowledge and selection of sensor, motor, gear, guide, and belt etc.).
d) Experience in testing with capability in establishing test fixture
e) Good knowledge of common surface treatment, material properties of popular metal, plastic, or other materials
f) Good knowledge of tolerance design and calculation, stress analysis etc.
g) Experience with Design for Manufacturing, Testing, and Cost
h) Good knowledge of safety standard or regulatory process in product development
- Good English communication ability (verbal and written)
- Good problem solving skill (root cause analysis, FMEA, etc.) and technical communication ability
- Must be a team player

Desired Qualification:
- M.S. degree in Mechatronics with above 4 years work experience
- Medical device or life science product development experience
- Experience in complex mechatronics transmission system development, such as motor drive, lead screw drive etc.
- Global collaboration experience in matrix organization
