Role & Responsibilities:

Job Scope Summary

The NPC team at GTWY would be responsible to provide market competitive SELLING rates to the Network, plus provide respond to daily request for quotes and quote for other ad-hoc opportunities where SOLUTION TARIFF pricing is not competitive.

In this role the NPC clerk will work with South China Air Gateway Teams and liaise with Sales, trade-lane and Network stake holders to provide timely, market driven and competitive pricing and solutions, he / she will be supported with situational expertise and guidance from Air product.

He / She will have to maintain a up-to-date market driven pricing and rate database for all key trade lanes, stay update on market intelligence, rate compliance, data quality assurance, carrier / cargo selection, freight planning and allocation.

1. Duties and responsibilities

1. Provide timely responses on GCA multiple lane type quotations from Network / Sales / Trade lanes

2. Support RFQ product pricing where necessary

3. Prepare and upload the cost and minimum sell rates of specific carriers into Agility tools (e.g. E-room, Rate Quotation Module/FOCiS, etc)

4. Maintain a pricing and rate data base

5. Stay update on market development

6. Overseas email quotation enquires

7. Provide support to rates for tender submission (small tender)

8. R/O Rate negotiation

9. Identify R/O business loss reason

    

1. Pricing Guidelines 

1. Responsible for timely response to pricing enquiries for spot E-Bids shipments, spot rates and network business

2. Monitor compliance of the sell rate to maximize the profitability

    

1. Market intelligence

1. Proactively track market rate levels and communicate to all sales channels

Reporting

1. Generate reports and analyzing customers, carriers, trade lane performance and ad-hoc reports

2. Monitor and maintain quotation log and weekly scorecard report

 

Education and Experience requirements

1. Tertiary education, Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Shipping / Logistics Management, Operational Management or equivalent discipline is preferable

2. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in similar capacity in freight forwarding industry

3. Good air product knowledge

4. Demonstrate proven experience in Airfreight freight, entrepreneurial and have sound knowledge on pricing desk management
