JOB SUMMARY

The Senior System Analyst, Retail Applications reports directly to the Regional IT Manager Retail, located in Hong Kong. This role forms an integral part of the IT International management team and leads the day-to-day IT support and execution of systems and process improvement projects for company in country.

The position will be responsible for the support of the in country business team, with a focus on the Point of Sales for the various stores in country and region as well as the local Enterprise Resource System. It is responsible for the gathering, documenting of business requirements and the implementation of best industry practices. Works directly with the Regional IT Manager - Retail and in its absence acts as the coordination point towards headquarters as well as for any local and regional external partners. Act as a primary person for issue detection, coordination and resolution. The position should have an in-depth retail application Information Technology. The incumbent will foster a collaborative team environment and a strong service-oriented culture.

FOCUS AREA #1 – Applications (30%)

  • Develops implementation plan for Point of Sales project inclusive of systems tasks as well as operational cutover and training plans.
  • Delivers day to day support in both arenas for the in country business team as well as for the regional stores utilizing the solutions.

FOCUS AREA #2 – Process (30%)

  • Documents process, business requirements and participates in evaluation of functional and technical options.
  • Documents current state processes and business systems and compares to benchmarking data and/or best practices in order to identify performance gaps.
  • Meets on a weekly timeframe with business key stakeholders reviewing state of affairs and improvements.

FOCUS AREA #3 – Business Relationships (30%)

· Performs regular meetings in country to discover, discuss, document and improve the current implemented solutions or proposes improvements to them.

· Works extensively with the regional and global headquarters teams in understanding the application and infrastructure landscape in place as well as key stakeholders responsible for them. Engages proactively with them in bonding and understanding the total solution offering of the organization.

· Works with in country and regional external partners in provisioning support and improvement of it, through on time service delivery reviews and account management discussions.

FOCUS AREA #4 – Infrastructure (10%)

· Work closely with Local/Regional/HQ Infrastructure team:

o For any business application requirements that require infrastructure change

o For any infrastructure change that might affect business applications operation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Support the store and office operation In retail application perspectives

o The system in scope include (but not limited to) POS, Business Intelligence (BI), CRM, ERP, Traffic Counter etc.

o Provide professional advices regarding retail system functions

o Responsible for system administration

o Monitor and ensure the smoothly data integration between retail and other systems in the company

o Keep log for every issue and Work closely with system vendor to ensure all issues resolve in timely manner

· Support the Store Opening Projects in the country

o Work closely with infrastructure team to ensure ALL IT related equipment and accounts are setup properly

o Work with Store Project and Traffic Counter Vendor for Traffic Counter Installation

o Setup the store in retail system and work with other parties for the same setup (like HQ BI team, ERP…etc)

o Prepare retail system training environment and documents

o Ensure all store setup related tasks complete on time and in full

o Attend Store Project meeting and provide regular update in system perspectives

· Help for user requirement collection, specification writing, system testing and configuration…etc. during specific project rollout

· Keep system documentation (training materials, user list…etc.) up to date

· Work closely and meet regularly with Users (especially store managers) to identify new business needs or potential system issues.

· Strong skills in promoting process improvement.

· Ability to work within a wider IT team, with project teams and suppliers as required

EDUCATION & PRIOR EXPERIENCE NEEDED

  • 2+ years’ experience with Information Technology organization and systems, Preferably in the (Fashion) Retail industry
  • Bachelor Degree in Business or Technical Discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Experience in supporting retail system like POS, traffic counter, BI reporting system, CRM and ERP...etc
  • Experience in managing multiple projects and support functions
  • Willingness to travel and work over time
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English.
