Essential Responsibilities
• Functional owner of logistics VCP
• Participate in coordinating all actions focused on VCP projects and initiatives, including domestic/ international transportation and warehousing
• Be responsible for continuous improvement as an innovator of positive change in a cross functional environment (OTR, sourcing, manufacturing, engineering …) that impacts logistics spend metrics
• Communicate and coordinate effectively with supply chain partners and forwarders to achieve VCP goals
• Drive project execution, review project status and lead efforts to improve existing logistics network
• Analyze/monitor logistics cost to capture quarterly landed savings and find potential opportunities
• Drive standardization of logistics processes across China region. Define/maintain SOP and implemented across the China region, ensure the correct information in global system. Such as Routing Guide; LS/LD information in Oracle and eOM.
• Work cross-functionally to identify process improvement opportunities and implement successful changes. Drive and manage the logistics improvement projects for China aligned with global logistics strategy and partnership with global logistics CoE team and NDO team for logistics strategy and initiatives
• Work with Fright management leaders to analysis GSA and China domestic logistics service contract, select suitable vendor and allocate service mode and area considering the rate / reputation and experience with GE; Design Routing guide for both Inbound & outbound for China distribution.
Role Summary/Purpose
Lead and drive Variable Cost Productivity (VCP) initiatives for China region and take the ownership to meet VCP OP target. Leverage resources from GSC and coordinate cross-function to improve logistics process. Deliver significant impact from identifying process improvement and saving opportunities, project implementation, and drives meaningful change to supply chain from logistics perspective.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or Engineering
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in logistics, warehousing and distribution, appreciate with Manufactory experience on materials management or supply chain management.
• Proven business/financial acumen, experience in logistics or supply chain modeling & simulation.
• Excellent project management, multi-task, communication and analytical skills
• Proven ability to work on cross-functional, multi-cultural teams. Ability to energize, and influence others; Strong organizational, inter-personal skill and demonstrated leadership skill
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Quality management knowledge with qualified Lean & 6 sigma as a plus
