Job Purpose
l Plan and execute developing new products and optimize existing product portfolio by efficient use of available know-how and technical resources to meet external and internal expectations
Job Responsibilities
l Plan, supervise and conduct assigned customer-and R&D projects using established processes to ensure project objectives are met.
l Initiate and conduct internal/external testing of products to ensure required quality level.
Job Results
l Test new or alternative raw materials, initiate approval processes, and support implementation in the region according to established procedures. According to tasks given by R&D manager.
l Develop new products using market input and requirements to assure competitiveness and profitability.
l Support Sales and Marketing by planning, establishing, prioritizing and executing new products implementation to ensure sustained product quality and competitiveness.
Main tasks
l Conduct assigned development tasks/projects in accordance with plans and as instructed by task/project leader. l Give technical laboratory technicians needed training and support. Contribute to continuous improvement of knowledge and working processes in CN .
l Support Sales and Marketing on products implementation.
l Report and disseminate obtained formulations and knowledge.
l Assist Local Lab Manager CN with respect to of lab work planning, HSE issues, RM labelling, 5S system maintenance, lab staff leading when required.


Mandatory:
l Develop with guidance cost-effective high performance coating which meet current legislation and anticipate future legislation;
l Ensure all first-time manufacture products are suitable for local processing conditions and RM availability;
l Provide support as required to help processing maintain efficient processing formulation for local conditions;
l Maintain cost efficiency of products by a systematic plan for approving the use of local raw material whilst retaining product performance and application characteristics;
l Maintain accurate records of all work undertaken and full traceability of R&D;
l Develop independently cost-effective high performance coating which meet current legislation and anticipate future legislation;
l Provide with regular proposals for reworking slow moving stock and returned stock;
l Provide technical support to sales as required
Optional:
l Knowledgeable with paint;
l Good planning, organization and cooperation;
l Level of education: University degree or above, majoring in Chemistry, Polymer is preferred;
l Fluency in Mandarin, good writing, reading and spoken English.
l Good at Microsoft Office software.
