Leadership:
Actively demonstrating WorleyParsons values and behaviours and contribute to achieving the OneWay vision;
Day to day finance partner to the Location Leadership Team and representative of the Finance function to the Operations; Open and clear dialogue regarding Location results with the Location Director, RMD, Finance Controller and Finance Director;
Lead the Finance Function in strategy, capability and day to day operational delivery;
Works closely with joint venture partners and related parties to understand their financial results and forecasts and ensures compliance with agreements;
Position and steward the implementation of Finance approved strategies, policies and processes in Location to ensure consistent Group-wide best practice is delivered;
Leads benchmarking to identify continuous improvement opportunities to systems, processes , cost reduction and general challenge to the status quo; and
Oversight of the planning, directing and coordinating of the Location accounting and administration functions. Commercial Support:
Provides strategic Financial leadership, advise and commercial support to Locations, and Joint Ventures;
Commercial input into bids, projects and commercial terms and conditions;
Undertakes ad hoc analysis and participates in special projects. Designs financial models, scenarios and sensitivities for projects. Advises on the design and application of models;
Engaged in special projects such as the preparation of financial aspects of new business opportunities or providing oversight for the development of rates for major proposals; and
Overall project accounting responsibility for all projects and joint ventures; including compliance to legislation and policies, invoicing and billing, cost management and management of financial and treasury risks.
Reporting:
Responsible for delivering consistent, accurate and timely management information (financial and statistical) to all key stakeholders for decision making purposes;
Ensures accuracy and consistency in application of Accounting Policy and Standards and appropriate internal controls;
Leads budget and forecast preparation for the Location and provides information supporting long range planning activities;
Work with Global finance groups on monthly reporting, functional reporting, tax, treasury, Location initiatives and ad hoc projects;
Works closely with the regional Tax Manager to ensure full compliance with all relevant tax laws; and
Ensure auditable compliance with relevant legal and statutory requirements and achievement of sound corporate governance and compliance with The Way, WorleyParsons policies and IFRS.
Cash Management:
Drives best in class cash management around DSO and WIP (collections efficiency and invoicing efficiency)
Stewards ongoing cash forecasting; upholds strong, visible credit risk management in the Location
Overall responsibility for liquidity management of the Location
Management of Staff:
Responsible for the oversight of the Finance function and delivery of associated tasks and assignments related to location;
Responsible for the day-to-day management of direct reports and assessment of individual and team capabilities; and
Ensure sufficient training and development is provided to direct and indirect reports to enable effective execution of finance tasks associated with locations.
Continuous Improvement:
Responsible for the ongoing development of systems and processes to enhance capabilities, including delivery of deeper information for decision support;
Works to identify cost reduction opportunities across the Locations/ Functions; and
Drives the identification of benchmarking opportunities and continually challenges the status quo.
Job Specific:
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
Proficient use of the most common Microsoft applications including intermediate/advanced knowledge of Excel to download and analyse data
Experience with a large ERP environment such as Oracle, SAP or Hyperion.
Ability to think outside the box and identify issues and solutions to those issues.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to convey information and ideas to individuals and groups, and make presentations when required.
A high degree of organisational skills
Excellent interpersonal and people management skills with strong influencing ability.
A track record of successfully managing teams and implementing change.

Experience:
Required:
Extensive technical, practical and leadership experience in the relevant discipline, in the same or similar industry, including experience managing and leading a team.
Exposure to engineering/construction or multi-disciplinary services environment well regarded.
Guide:
Approximately, 7-10 years to include financial experience and management experience with the day-to-day financial operations of an organisation.
Ability to work under broad or limited direction in setting work priorities.
Ability to exercise significant managerial ability, including supervising staff, setting priorities, developing local strategies, procedures and work practices and allocating resources.
Ability to exercise independence of action and decisions.
Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
Required:
A recognised degree bachelors degree or masters degree) or equivalent qualification with an emphasis in quantitative discipline such as finance, economics, accounting or commerce major.
Preferred:
Postgraduate qualifications in the relevant discipline such as CA or CPA; Management or supervisory qualifications or equivalent
