Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the IP/console component/subsystem/system. Design and Release for various vehicle programs;
• Lead implementation of FORD product development process / quality operating system and ensure the milestone deliverables to be completed on time with quality;
• Design and develop components and/or subsystem to meet all requirements including cost/quality/timing;
• Identify and select suppliers to meet Ford cost, quality, volume and timing requirements with cross-functional team;
• Work within team to ensure all FORD design, quality, engineering support and cost requirements cascaded to supplier correctly;
• Responsible for robust design verifications, engineering signoff and production validations;
• Support Ford global vehicle build to meet timing requirement with high quality;
• Resolve issues and manage engineering changes during commodity launch;
• Deliver quality methodologies and reliability processes for long term and lasting quality;
• Support all APQP activities including PPAP signoff.

Candidate Specification:

• Bachelor Degree or above in Automobile/Mechanical/Material Engineering required;
• Minimum of 3 years design or manufacturing experience on body interior parts, specifically for IP/Console. Familiar with process of injection molding;
• Plastic parts design/Injection mold knowledge;
• Automobile industry;
• Knowledge in auto component/subsystem design/manufacturing/assembly, and vehicle assembling and launch process;
• In-depth knowledge in drawing, GD&T and CAD systems;
• Experience in component /subsystem design verification process and test planning/execution;
• Experience in Quality/Reliability process including Design FMEA, Design Verification Planning/Reports and 8D;
• Knowledge in PFMEA and control plans;
• Good team work;
• Plastic parts design/engineering;
• Good English reading/writing skills.
