Responsibilities:

Develop facility and tooling investment forecasts for every vehicle program within APA for powertools.

Interpret new vehicle program designs and impact on investment forecasts for final assembly powertools requirements (including DC, air tools, rivet guns etc.).

Become the subject Matter Expert within APA for all tooling and facilities related to powertools in TCF.

Represent APA during the development of globally agreed standard for facilities and tooling.

Work with the Ford global team on the sourcing of standard facilities and tooling to achieve investment efficiency opportunities for all Ford global locations, assignment status, etc.

Lead the design of any new powertools related installations within APA.

Plan to be green belt trained and certified, then black belt trained and certified.

Interface with FQR and PD VFG leaders on engineering aspect of powertools/torque control.

Address powertools related issues affecting field quality and production downtime in conjunction with plants support.

Preferred previous experiences:

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or similar
• 5years+ related experience
• Exposure to facility and tooling installations and planning within the automotive industry
• Working at an automotive manufacturer. Working in a role of project management. Experienced with installation in a manufacturing environment. Experienced in vendor management.

• Good communication with people from different functional group including but not limited in manufacturing (plant engineers, vendors, product development engineers, process engineers etc.)
• Able to articulate tooling & facilities requirements though non face to face meetings (conference calls)
• Flexibility to accommodate working across different time zones and sensitivity to cultural and geographical differences
• Travel to APA plants for pre- and installation events required or for any issues related to their sub-systems.
