Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all aspects of vehicle Electrical Energy Management (EEM) system for APA vehicle programs including:

1. Responsible for all aspects of EEM system delivery including Battery Management, Charging System, Load Shedding and Start/Stop operation.
2. Work together with component D&R in determining battery/alternator size, efficiency etc. to achieve overall system efficiency.
3. Understand and maintain Power Supply EEM control strategy, integrate, calibrate and verify the system operating to target performance.
4. Interacts with hardware components/modules in system to make sure interface properly defined and designed according to control strategy.
5. Release calibration to programs on time with quality.
6. Interacts with programs and/or interface hardware components in the system to drive issue closure
7. Responsible for successful execution of Ford product development process/
8. Responsible for all program Quality, Cost, Weight, Function (QCWF) metrics.

• Responsible for robust design verifications, engineering signoff and production validations
• Liaise with global engineering, design activities, program teams and manufacturing
• Participant in Ford global Power Supply Engineering team discussion to represent APA, and implement design rules for APA
• Develop and manage ESOW (Engineering Statement of Work) to ensure all Ford design, quality and engineering requirements cascaded to supplier correctly
• Identify and select suppliers to meet Ford function specification, quality, cost, volume and timing requirements with cross-functional team
• Help supplier to understand engineering specification, work with supplier to design and develop component to meet all requirements including function, quality, cost and timing
• Resolve issues and manage engineering changes during commodity launch

Candidate Specification:

• Bachelor Degree or above in Automotive or Electrical
• At least 3 years related working experience in automotive industry
• Operational knowledge of base Starting and Charging system structure, BMS system operation, load shedding and Start/Stop operation. Understand each components used in system and how they interface in the system, understand signal type and communication
• Automotive electrical system integration/design experiences
• Software basics, LIN/PWM/CAN communication data structure, Calibration tools
• Excellent interpersonal skills & demonstrated results orientated leadership behaviors, especially teamwork
• Excellent communication skill, both spoken & written in Chinese and English
• Willing to travel frequently
