Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Acts as lead analyst and coaches/leads other junior analysts.

• Leads some key meetings and workstreams in the Programs Office (eg. Timing PAT, Assumptions PAT) for the Program Manager.

• Acts as key point of contact for other functions and for other regions when the Program Manager is not available or for specific subjects/workstreams.

• Supports the Program Manager in providing a key interface in China to the global Program Management and Engineering teams to drive global product attribute, financial, procurement, manufacturing, homologation and launch requirements.

• Support global program milestones, driving cross-functional teams to meet key deadlines. Work with localisation/launch teams (China and other regional markets) to co-ordinate the engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, finance and launch teams in delivery of program milestones.

• Ensure adherence to GPDS and global program management and approval processes. The Senior Program Management Analyst must understand all of the program metrics, how they interrelate and ensure the right focus is kept in the teams to enable delivery at each Milestone.

• Lead development of the program timing plan (VPP), identify program timing related risks and, as required, take a lead role in the development of appropriate workplans and countermeasures with cross-functional teams to resolve timing issues.

• Lead Program Steering Meetings, facilitate/support other functional meetings & communications with focus to deliver program as required.

• Support resource planning, ensure sufficient cross functional resource for program delivery. Develop program Orange Book and clarify R&R as required.

Qualifications Required:

• Candidate needs a solid understanding of Program Management processes.
• Candidate needs an appreciation of and interest in the complexities of program delivery across multiple regions with multiple launch locations. The candidate should be aware of and interested in the cultural and language barriers, diversity of skills and practical/physical challenges which come with working in developing markets.
• Candidate needs a good understanding of Global Product Development Systems through demonstrated experience.
• Candidate should have experience in two or more of the following: Program management, Project (D&R) engineering, Product Planning or PD Launch.
• Desired leadership behaviors include Business Acumen, Drive for Results, Innovation and Technical Excellence, and capability to supervise and coach junior Program Analyst. Candidate should also possess strong influencing skills and good English skills.
• Candidate should be comfortable with the potential for some travel and be flexible with work hours due to the time differences between markets.
• Preferred candidate will have experience on broader APA projects, not just domestic Chinese experience.
