Title: Supplier Quality/PPAP hub leader , China

Reports to: Supplier Quality Development Director, EMEAR

Strategic Sourcing Initiative：

As part of the implementation of our ‘Execute to Win’ business system, Company has launched several major initiatives to better understand how we operate in certain areas. A major initiative is in Strategic Sourcing. Wave Teams have been established using a standard 11 step methodology to source specific categories, phased over the next several years. The ultimate intention of this initiative is to develop strategic sourcing excellence. Integral to our success is the delivery of best in class supplier quality and the continuous development of our supply base.

Position Overview:

1、This position is part of the supplier development and innovation group within the strategic sourcing initiative. Reporting to the Supplier Quality Development Director EMEAR the individual will join the Wave teams and support the qualification of new suppliers, using PPAP process,.

2、The PPAP hub leader will work closely with suppliers with early involvement to develop advance component development plans, advising suppliers on right tooling, checking aids, providing timely inputs to suppliers on Quality, Delivery and field issues with a view to institute proactive approach on quality.

3、The PPAP hub leader will also work closely with factory based SQE colleagues located within the region and globally to help develop measurement systems, component approvals, and quality and delivery issues in cooperation with design and manufacturing engineering teams and supply chain.

Responsibilities:

1、Work with Purchasing, Quality, and Design to qualify new suppliers or materials; supporting quality/cost improvements in manufacturing and the supply chai

2、Qualify new suppliers in a timely manner when required

3、Effectively use and deploy a Structured Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)

4、Assist in implementing continuous improvement projects related to the quality system

5、Ensure that approved supplier list and vendor materials are routinely updated to maintain accuracy.

6、Manage supplier change notifications to ensure that they are appropriately assessed, communicated and all follow-up activities are tracked through timely completion.

7、Conduct supplier audits and provide support for supplier quality systems improvements

8、Develop and maintain the supplier first article submission program

9、Familiar with commodity of fabrication, hydraulic, electrical & running gear & castings

Qualifications:

Engineering Degree educated or equivalent experience in an Engineering/Manufacturing environment

Language:

1、Must be fluent in English both verbal & written

2、A second language relevant to the region would be advantageous

Skills and Experience:

1、5 years’ experience in PPAP process, New Product Development, Strategic Sourcing, Lean Manufacturingor Total Quality Management, Production Planning & Scheduling

2、Experience in implemention of PPAP process

3、Technical knowledge characteristics of a wide range of component parts, assembly, tooling and manufacturing process

4、Expert knowledge in measure system and capability base on wide parts.

5、Full understand plant design and production, quality requirement then transform to control point in PPAP

6、Familiar with MSA, SPC, FMEA, problem solving and error proofing tools etc. Expert knowledge in the application of Quality Management Systems, problem resolution techniques and improvement tools

7、Demonstrated success in problem solving, as well as product and process analysis

8、Excellent analytical skills and trained to work with relational databases

9、Results driven, action oriented

10、Process discipline

11、Having Global Sourcing experience is bonus to this position

12、Communication and collaboration skills with the ability to develop relationships across levels, geographies and segments

Travel:

Willingness and ability to travel (travel could be 50-75% during periods of supplier assessment and implementation)
