Job Objectives:
Conceptualize and develop BASF external publications in Greater China. Story development and editing external communication materials. Support BU/FU to provide professional consultancy for external communications.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Contribute to the corporate communications strategy in Greater China with focus on publications and external communications; implement related activities and monitor the results.
2. Develop BASF publications concepts in Greater China including the annual report and BASF Information and other format of external publications.
3. Establish and maintain favorable relations with internal customers including functional units, business units in Greater China to ensure generation of high quality stories.
4. Establish and maintain favorable relations with external partners as potential contributors for corporate publications
5. Develop, maintain and ensure supply of accurate official corporate information for all internal and external partners, including but not limited to updating corporate information and backgrounders, develop speeches and letters, provide internet and intranet contents and updating COM glossary.
6. Support crisis communication in Greater China with focus on external communications in close cooperation with the country and regional COM teams and related business units.
7. Support corporate events and external communications when necessary.
8. Supervise and coach GROW trainees in Shanghai
9. Manage external agencies and monitor their performance

Requirements:
1. Bachelor degree in relevant areas (e.g. communications, journalism, English)- candidates with extensive experience in communications and publications with degrees in other disciplines will be considered as well
2. 6-8 years working experience with at least 3 years in publications development and external communications -candidates with less experience but with potential will be considered as Executive
3. Have tracked experience in publication development
4. Ability to work independently
5. Good interpersonal communication skills
6. Excellent writing skills in both English and Chinese
7. Creative, flexible and accountable
8. Experience in layout or graphic design is a plus
