Marvell is looking for a Firmware Manager to part of a team which delivers complete SSD Data Center solutions.

 

As a Firmware Manager you will be working with cross functional teams on coordinating/directing projects while leading a team of developers.

 

You will provide leadership to the firmware team in the design and development of new products and maintaining current products.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: 

 

Provide leadership to firmware team in the design and development of new SSD products

 

Work with cross functional teams to define project specifications and procedures

 

Manage firmware projects, make detailed plans, risk assessments and mitigation plans and schedules to deliver on assigned goals

 

Monitor all critical paths related to the development and introduction of activities, anticipates and identifies bottlenecks, and escalates major problems and/or issues to management

 

Lead scrum meetings and track issues

 

Coordinate with other departments such as Hardware, Software and Quality Assurance to analyze and resolve problems

 

Manage resources and ensure that development schedules are met

 

Coach and mentor team members for improved performance and growth

 

Work with multi-site globally distributed development teams

 

Qualification:

 

BS/MS in Computer Science

 

Minimum 10 years of firmware development experience with at least four years in a management role

 

Experience with HDD/SSD storage technology is desirable

 

Excellent demonstrated development skills in C++ is desired

 

Extensive knowledge of computer and embedded system architecture, compliers, microprocessors and scripting languages

 

Excellent initiative, project and people management skills, strong leadership, good team player, quick learner, self-motivated to work independently

 

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills

 

Experience with ARM based SOC architecture

 

Experience in an Agile development process, MS Project, Jira and Confluence

 

Experience interfacing with customers to define requirements and resolve issues
