Scope of Role:
? To develop, revamp, implement and manage trade product solutions for SME Banking China according to defined customer value propositions so as to maximize underlying economic performance and attain consistent growth in market share;

? To carry out strategic business goals as set by Senior Management and to work closely with all product partners, external business partners and in-house colleagues so as to maximize resources and opportunities for SME Banking; &

? To serve as role model for junior Product Managers/ Officers and facilitate Senior Manager, Asset Product Management to achieve committed team objectives.

? Must comply with all Group and Local Compliance, Operational Risk Management, Anti-Money Laundering, TCF and KYC requirements

Key Responsibilities/Challenges:
? To identify local strategies to respond to opportunities to grow revenues and threats identified for documentary trade business;

? To build business cases and identify opportunities for new products and services requirements in documentary trade business;

? To work with key stakeholders and other functions to ensure that products/ policies are rolled out and delivered in an efficient and effective manner, minimizing operational risks whilst maximizing customer service;

? To provide training on existing and new product functionality, programmes and legal documentation to Sales, RMs, (SME/WB) Solution Delivery, CCC, CRC/ Trade Ops and other counterparts where appropriate;

? To monitor and forecast the Trade budget (revenue & costs) in partnership with Business Performance Team, Sales Heads/ Regional Heads;

? To monitor market share and growth of trade business;

? To compile the analysis and understanding of the local market including customer needs and behavior, competitive offerings and the local regulatory environment;

? To ensure efficient maintenance of the relevant country product databases such as the PPG database, materials in Sharepoint, Knowledge I, pricing & tariff tables, etc;

? Together with operations and administrative departments, review and improve existing workflow and processes, agreed on revised SLA and assist operations and administrative departments to achieve the agreed SLA;

? Build and maintain strong local talent pipelines for sustainable business growth;

? Coach direct reports and key talents to deliver for performance;

? Manage employee engagement, motivation and attrition issues;

? Be and effective agent of change and a role model for talented managers throughout the Bank

Selection Criteria:
? At least 6-8 years of banking experience in sales management, product and process development, customer segmentation, banking processes & operations or compliance related positions;

? Degree holder in business related disciplines preferred;

? Established connections within the China market;

? Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving and negotiation skills;

? Strong analytical capability and engagement to drive for delivery;

? Proficient in spoken and written Chinese and English;

? Experience in designing, development, running and putting product solutions/ projects into execution;

? Ability to work independently without close supervision;

? Exposure to SME Banking products/ customers will be an added advantage.
