Description

· Primary interface between ODMs, touch panel & controller venders, and HP engineering development team for electrical, firmware, and software (driver) related issues

· Works directly with ODMs to provide in-depth technical management on electrical and software issues and basic front-line support for mechanical issues

· Track issues in bug tracking system and drive to resolution with cross-functional team

· Performs system-level design reviews with ODMs and HP project development team to provide integration guidance and comments

· Creates touch panel component-level specifications including EE, ME and FW requirements, and supports on RFI & RFQ stuffs

· Works close with touch panel and controller venders to well understand the latest industry trend, roadmap and manufacture process

· Create and manage the execution of internal product validation and QA test plan with HQA team

· Help Ops to set up test fixtures and perform quality inspections

· Position is located in Shanghai, China

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

· 10+ years of experience in engineering role in electronics industry

· BS degree in EE, Computer Engineering, or similar is preferred

· Experience with integrating LCDs, touch panels, or similar components into embedded systems

· Proficient in low-level programming languages (C, etc.), Linux, microcontroller firmware programming, schematic design, and embedded systems software

· Must be proficient with basic electronics lab equipment (oscilloscope, DMM, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer), bench testing techniques, and soldering

· Willing to travel 5-10% of time to visit manufacturing sites and customers

· Must be able to work on multiple projects and manage several ODMs at once while holding to strict schedules and deadlines

· Must be a self-starter and able to perform in a rapidly changing environment

· Must have excellent interpersonal skills to exercise influence at various levels and functions

· Must have experience working with overseas engineering teams
