Description

Shared Engineering Services is a new organization focused on investing enhanced design and manufacturing engineering for PC products working across business unit functions (R&D, Supply Chain, TCE&Q, etc.) and product teams. It provides the core engineering necessary to enable inherit quality and successful product launches from lab to ramp.

Critical Competencies to Drive Business Results:

-Strong project and resource management skills, with demonstrated ability to develop schedules & plans, manage risk and execution to deliver against the organization's goals & objectives.

-Must be able to manage a team of engineers through product launch activities. From lab hand off to manufacuring ramp.

-Solid knowledge of product lifecycle process and methodologies with past experience program managing products through concept to final product delivery

-Business knowledge and in-depth experience in one or more aspects of the personal computer business or software development for PC platforms.

-Effective communicator to all levels of management. Ability to effectively frame issues, status, and recommendations to the executive staff.

-Ability to utilize experience and judgment in decision making, can anticipate and effectively react to product and customer issues

-Able to effectively facilitate, lead, and provide direction for a diverse group of individuals and functions, with proven ability to manage and influence across organizational boundaries.

-Conflict resolution skills.

-Effective presentation skills.

-Negotiation & Influence - demonstrated ability to build effective relationships & negotiate / influence positive outcomes up and down chain of command, across organizational boundaries, and from a position of non-authority.

Leadership qualities: ownership, integrity, sense of urgency, results driven, motivates others

Qualifications

Education and Experience

-Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent

-PMP/PMI certification preferred

-Minimum 8-10 years experience

Knowledge and Skills

-Extensive experience with using project and program planning tools and software packages to create, manage, and track project results.

-Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

-Demonstrated business acumen and successful experience managing all aspects of programs, including communicating with stakeholders and directing matrixed teams and resources.

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.

-Ability to effectively communicate program plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at senior management levels.
