Job Description

Working location will be in Wuxi after initial onboarding and training in Shanghai

• Conduct research and pre-development on vehicle fuel cell system level (the system includes fuel cell stack, humidifier, air compressor, thermal system, DC/DC converter, etc.)

• Work closely with the Corporate Research headquarter in Renningen, Germany and the research center in Japan on project activities and competence development

• Work closely with business units in China to supply cutting edge technology solutions and to transform them to products

• Execute technology scouting that？ covers both academia and industry in China/Asia for preparing strategic decisions

• Main responsibility of the team includes

  • Pursue technology excellence by contributing brilliant ideas ？to new product concepts including patent filing

  • Prove innovation concept by pre-development including design, simulation, prototyping, test and validation

  • Support project activities to transfer deliverables to business units successfully
  • Manage suppliers and lab facilities for sample construction

Qualifications

• PhD degree or excellent Master in discipline of vehicle systems (e.g. thermal system); knowledge on FCEV system is appreciated

• Practical experiences in system simulation and optimization and control strategy

• Good knowledge concerning the fuel cell system components like compressor, humidifier, H2 tank and the electrical interface towards the electrical powertrain

• Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (oral and written)

• Good knowledge with certain level of experience on electric powertrain system and components e.g. inverters, electric motors, DC/DC converters.

• International education and experiences is a plus

• Efficient, goal-oriented, structured working style, experienced in project work

• Passionate for innovation; filed patents on qualified content during PhD or prior work is a benefit

• Strong team player; open to work in an international environment
