Job Description

- Conduct pre-development of innovative powertrain systems and power electronics and electric drive components
- ？Work closely with corporate research hub in Renningen, Germany on project activities and competence development
- Work closely with business units to supply cutting edge and competitive technology solutions and to transform them to products
-？Main responsibility includes

1. Lead design and prototyping control platforms for product pre-development
2. Lead design and implementation of software algorithms for electric drives and power electronics
3. Coordinate and assist in performance and qualification testing of variable speed drives
4. Assist and coordinate in-house and contract engineering resources to meet project schedule and objectives
5. Support project activities to transfer deliverables to business units
6. Manage suppliers and lab facilities for sample construction

Qualifications

1. Master degree in power electronics, electric drives or bachelor degree embedded software design
2. Expert knowledge and practical experiences in power converter/inverter software design, simulation, rapid prototyping and experimental validation
3. Good knowledge with AUTOSAR architecture, TI/Infineon microcontrollers, CAN communication, ADC driver design, motor control algorithms and tools e.g. Simulink, C, Tasking, CANoe et al.
4. ？Knowledge and experiences with functional safety is a plus
5. ？Good knowledge with modeling of power converters, control design, simulation and tuning techniques
6. ？Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (oral and written), speaking German is a plus
7. ？Good knowledge with certain level of experience on electric powertrain system and components e.g. inverter, electric motor, gearbox, as well as fuel cell system are preferred
8. ？International education and experiences is a plus
9. ？Efficient, goal-oriented, structured working style, experienced in project work
10. ？Passionate for innovation; filed patents on qualified content during prior work is a benefit
11. ？Strong team player; open to work in an international environment
